TheGreek
I bought something off ebay recently - seller delivered the item and we got chatting His son had gone to school with Nick Fyffe, who replaced Stu Zender in Jamiriquai. Funnily enough I own some of the albums Nick played on but always assumed it was Paul Turner. We live and learn...
BrunoBass
Nick's now in Temperance Movement which are a long way from Jamiroquai style wise, but still feature some nice tasty bass playing.
Roland Rock
He did a stint with Deep Purple a while back too.
kevin_lindsay
He did the dep gig for Deep Purple when Roger Glover was unavailable. Nick got the call as he's the son in law of Deep Purple's drummer Ian Paice. Edited November 8, 2016 by kevin_lindsay
Funky Dunky
Fabulous bassist is Nick. Zender and Turner get all the platitudes (fair - they're both brilliant) but Nick is up there. His playing on Synkronized is fantastic - that Canned Heat bass line is a real workout.
molan
He turned up at my house one day - I had no idea who he was! Bought a pedal on eBay and the seller said he lived nearby so would pop it over. We were chatting on the doorstep and he mentioned how many bassists there were locally. I said that I knew a few and mentioned Paul Turner as being one of the higher profile ones. He said, "oh yes, I know Paul, he replaced me in jamiroquai"! I immediately realised who he was and felt suitably embarrassed at not recognising him, lol. Nice guy, has been over to our shop a few times since

Ghost_Bass
A friend of mine (also a basschatter) bought his TRB5PII wich he used live and in the studio. He signed it and even sent an authentication letter/pic. Here's me with his bass on the right (and mine on the left):
51m0n
I was at college with him in Chichester in the 90's. Lovely chap, he was on the jazz course, and had a great groove then, played Latin stuff with a fantastic feel. I've since read that that course taught him to play charts, and hate jazz, which is probably very accurate
