tom skool
Hi all, I've got an issue with the sound on my computer. Now and again it sounds like it is feeding back on itself and I have to wait a few minutes for a delayed noise to pass And if I'm recording say a guitar track, what is recorded changes from the guitar to recording internal sounds such as the drums, during these periods. I wonder if its an issue between the computers soundcard and my audio interface (tascam us122)? As far as I can see I've selected the tascam for everything sound related on my pc. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks. P.s I'm using cubase le4 to record and windows 10. Also I didn't have this problem with my previous pc
RockfordStone
depending on which version of the us-122 you have, that may be the cause of the issue. the one i had stopped making drivers after windows xp, so you may be having a driver issue. you may well be creating some kind of odd loop between the two inputs. think of it this way, if you have an external, interface that becomes your soundcard and normally you would send all sound in and out through that, if you are using both then you may be creating the sound that way. how have you got it all connected it up? tom skool
I suspect it to be a weird loop. That's what it sounds like to me. I just have the us122 going into the pc via usb and all inputs and outputs connected to the us122. I don't know if/ how I can disable the internal soundcard? RockfordStone
in that case i don't suspect it to be a soundcard clash as any software you are using will probably default to the us122, it could be a driver issue. you could switch of the sound card in the computers device manager
tom skool
Ok thanks. I'll look and see if I can update the drivers and take it from there
