ras52 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016
The Dreaming and Aerial for me. Fantastic. .. 50 words for snow leaves me cold, never got hounds of love either.
Ooh, as a fellow Dreaming-lover and Hounds-whateverer, now I want to check out Aerial. (Note to self: in the 21st century it's possible to do this via Spotify/YouTube without buying it!) Quote
GarethFlatlands Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Adore Hounds of Love but the only other albums I own are Aerials and 50 Words for Snow which have some great tracks and some which I'm not into. Is the older stuff more like HoL? Quote
bubinga5 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) I think this a very special piece of music. Written by Peter or Kate I don't know. She's theatrical as well as musical. http://youtu.be/VjEq-r2agqc Edited November 11, 2016 by bubinga5 Quote
Mister RLP Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) The Dreaming, Hounds of Love and Sensual World for me. I can see a clear progression there. Very lucky to see Before the Dawn two years ago. Didn't get a ticket when they first came out and then forgot about it. Then a documentary was on the BBC which made me desperate to get a ticket. I kept trying on the official website and was lucky to get a ticket on the day of one show. Amazing. And great to see/hear John Giblin one of my favourite bassists. JoeEvans Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Didn't Danny Thompson play on some of her recordings too? Quote
