TheGreek Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 (edited) Since Andy has now done a number of basses for fellow BCers I thought I'd start thread dedicated to his work. Here's details of the Silk Bass which he brought back to life for me. Details of the thread included. FuNkShUi Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) Here's the Singlecut Andy made me. It's my dream bass, and now the only one i gig with. Quality of craftmanship is astounding. Its very light at 7Llbs 8, and the tonal options are everything i could need. Here's my full thoughts on it, with a simple video so you can get an idea of it's sounds: http://basschat.co.u...obbyists-build/ Here's the original build thread: http://basschat.co.u...r-and-alder-pj/ Something i haven't posted on here, mostly because i wasn't sure if i could, so mods take this out if you need to..... Andys work has been featured as bass of the week here: http://www.notreble....singlecut-bass/ Pretty freakin cool!! Well done mate, thoroughly deserved recognition, putting you alongside some other great luthiers! Edited November 15, 2016 by FuNkShUi Quote
gelfin Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I can testify to how good FuNkShUi's single cut is. Played it at the last Cardiff bass bash and was totally blown away with it. So much so that I comissioned Andy to build me my "dream bass" It should be ready somewhere near the end of January, so will post the full story then. Quote
Rikki_Sixx Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Didn't Andy build a Thunderbird-style bass? I've been trying to find it, his builds are fascinating and I love the TB shape! Quote

But to answer your question, Rikki, no, not a Thunderbird-style. And now I shall fade back into the ether... Quote

Harryburke14 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 If anyone wants to do the honors of adding the Bleeding Sunflower Jazz Bass (now the official name) to the list. It's truly an incredible instrument and Andy has transformed it into a great looker and player. Quote
gelfin Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) Here's Andy latest full build. My Mouradian style bass. It started here. http://basschat.co.u...tely-different/ I understand that the shape may not be to everyones taste, but hey it's what I wanted and it is absolutely amazing.
