Steelyad
Howdy gentlemen, hope all is well in bass land. As well as being a bassist, i'm also a producer and mix engineer. Over the last year i've started making YouTube videos talking about everything from my bass rig (Ampeg 810 and Tech21 Landmark) through to recording on an iPad - hopefully some of this is useful to our low-end brethren. The most recent series focuses on comparing guitar speakers in the same cab, so we can hear back to back how they compare with no outside influences. I figured this could be helpful if you're one of the types who runs a guitar amp to get that old-school grit a-la Lemmy or such. The new Creamback speakers can handle 65-75W each so there's a lot less chance of us blowing them up! I'll be releasing more videos over the next few weeks comparing microphones on the cab (15 of them!), comparing preamp and poweramp tubes and much more besides. Any ideas for videos suited to the bass community are gladly taken!
