6feet7
I've just had this delivered by Bass Direct and I must say it is superb. The balance is just so and I can't put it down (plus, it has Jeff Berlin's signature on the back of the headstock - whoopee I've copied Skol303's post (I hope he doesn't mind) on his because he has said everything I could possible say about it, but I must reiterate that this bass is something pretty good (and I've had everything from a couple of £7000 GUS G3 basses to USA and Japanese Fenders and even my YOB bass, a 1964 Gibson EB0 and IMO this beats all of them) http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2974263
HowieBass
There's a lot of love for Cort built instruments and it seems even more for this particular model... Happy New Bass Day!
Twincam
Nice bass. You made the right choice.
White Cloud
I've just had this delivered by Bass Direct and I must say it is superb. Congrats, its a cracker...signed by JB too.
ambient
Nice looking instrument. I doubt Jeff would put his name to something that wasn't any good.
neilp
That man is such a tart! He's spent years telling everyone who would listen that there was nothing worth playing that couldn't be played on a 4-string, and he'd never bother with a 5!!! Wonder how many dollars Cort waved under his nose to bring about that change of heart I agree with JB's previous stance on 5-strings, but the Cort Jeff Berlin models do look fantastic, and I'm sorely tempted by the Rithimic 4 Hope you enjoy it! 6feet7
Having been in two bands where one was downtuned to Eb and the other was in standard tuning, 5 strings made total sense. Now I'm in one band in standard tuning but not being a virtuoso I find it so much easier to play. For straightforward stuff I pretty much stay around the fifth fret and am not having to move up and down the fretboard (and therefore screwing up either notes or my timing). It also sounds pretty good, looks the dogs doohdahs and it's not heavy either.
