NancyJohnson Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Morning campers. [Edit and update due to sale of the 2x10] Since landing the Barefaced Big One at last year's Bash, I'm finding I've been using my Hartke gear less and less. This is not to the detriment of the cabinets at all, I'm driving myself and our drummer to pretty much every gig we do and more often than not less volume is required on stage and space is at a premium while we're in transit, so I decided to move my HyDrives along. The 2x10 is now sold. I'll take £300 for the 4x10 and while trades aren't really an option, I would consider a Barefaced Super Twin or a Super Compact. The 4x10 has a couple of small tears in the vinyl covering (smaller than an a 5p) which have been glued down and the castors have been replaced with permanent ones; full specs here: http://www.samsontec...drive-cabinets/ Collection preferred (Crowthorne, near Reading, Berkshire). Thanks Paul Edited April 19, 2018 by NancyJohnson Removal of 'Sold' as the post is to remain open still...
plankspanker Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Reading the spec it says "parallel twist and lock' - does that mean standard Speakons?
NancyJohnson Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) You've got both a pair of Speakon and a pair of 1/4" jack sockets. I've tended to stick to Speakon. Edited November 17, 2016 by NancyJohnson
NancyJohnson Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 Still here kind of bump. Again, while I love freedom of having a pair of stacks that I can run, these do need to go at some stage. No rush. P
AndyRoo Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 (edited) Hi Nancy. What's the impedance on the cabs please? Edit... Sorry, I'm blind. Just seen the spec you linked. Afraid I'm after something that runs at 4ohm. GLWS. Edited February 21, 2017 by AndyRoo
NancyJohnson Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 Buy 'em both and daisychain them. 4ohms.
plankspanker Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) Hi Nancy. I looked at the Cutsheet in the link but it's not clear to me whether they mean these are the dimensions of the carton or the actual cab. Is 27x18x17.75" correct for the cab? Sorry to be picky but room in my little Golf is at a premium! Thanks in advance. Edited April 11, 2017 by plankspanker
NancyJohnson Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 That's kind of weird that they're quoting the boxed sizes. Anyhow, it's (w) 24" x (D) 15" x (H) 15". The height measurement includes the rubber feet.
plankspanker Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Thanks, Nancy - er I mean Paul - after I posted that question I came across a review which gave the same figures you've given above. I would like to put an offer in but not sure when I'll be up that end of the M4 next. At least once a month, usually, I come up the M4 and cut through Bracknell to the M3 and the south east but no immediate trips planned. Will be in touch a soon as I know anything.
NancyJohnson Posted May 11, 2017 Author Posted May 11, 2017 Still here bump. Hit me up with reasonable cash offers. Potential purchase happening imminently elsewhere, so need to swell the coffers. P
NancyJohnson Posted August 14, 2017 Author Posted August 14, 2017 I've been thinking, if anyone has a Barefaced Super Compact (Gen3) and is interested in trade options, let me know.
NancyJohnson Posted August 14, 2017 Author Posted August 14, 2017 Yup. They're about ten feet away from me right now.
NancyJohnson Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Bump. Shoot me an offer for the 4x10. I might actually take it.
NancyJohnson Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 £250 bump. It's just taking up space now!
