I have always wanted a stingray ever since seeing Flea back in the 90's...what can say??

for one reason or another, I never got one until I realised I cant get on with precision style necks, so I picked this up earlier this year and thought my stable was complete...


However, circumstances outside my control have forced my hand on this and as a result, this is now up for sale. I have had to undertake some emergency works on my house, as well as reconfigure my rig to suit my new band.


It is a 2003 (I believe) USA Sterling Bass (this is the made in San Louis Obispo version, their product line is confusing!) in Black/Maple with what looks like snakeskin pic guard. it has also been fitted with a hipshot detuner (original did not come with the bass), otherwise original. It does everything a MM should, it sounds great, cuts through the mix, and plays just as it should

I have tried to show as best I can the marks in the finish, it is in pretty good condition for a 13 year old bass (if you would like any other pics taken, please just ask. It has some slight dulling to the paintwork where ones right forearm would go - this has been someone's gigging bass!!

bass comes with hiscox case (not pictured)

Bass is located in Warrington, but can look to meet up within reason. No postage on this, sorry but I jus don't have time to organise this right now.

Cheers Dave, it is a nice one. You do t really notice it until you see a relatively new one and how generic/anaemic they all look. My '92 has some very distinct markings as well and I love it!!
