molan Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 If Mr Slutsky really wrote about the act of killing the moon in his treatise on Jameson and Kaye then I guess he may well have been delusional. I must admit I've read through his works and not noticed this lunar obsession but maybe it's buried deep in the subtext somewhere. . .

stingrayPete1977 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 We still have Carole Kaye and her recordings, why not try and be yourself instead?
rushbo Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 I think CrackerJackLee is really Carol Kaye.
Looking at the quotes posted from Kaye's facebook page, they use quite different styles of syntax and punctuation, so I'd guess not.
Yes, of course, Pete, but one should go home with the one that brought them... A pioneer of the bass world deserves better than the internet denigration by male bass parrots. Whether the British Empire likes it or not, some little girl from California grew up to be a bass master.

CrackerJackLee Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Funniest thing to come out of England, those Monty Pythons, eh...? Gawd Bless 'Em...!
HazBeen Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Wow.... this has been erhhh interesting. Is it possible for all involved in mud slinging to shrug shoulders, think of all the really important things in life like family, friends, kids and stop bickering? Surely nobody needs the aggro, whatever the time of day. If CK or JJ or BB for that matter did or did not play certain songs/sessions, what does it matter to the songs? They are a part of a very rich musical history and outside us nerdy bassists not many people would know any of the great bassists all 3 are, they will know the songs. I'm Dutch by the way....
