I have purchased an awful lot from their store (downloads). All my VSL stuff came through them and I have saved an absolute bundle over the original vendor. You also get an extra 10% off most stuff on check out. Very quick with s/n's as well. Great deals on Presonus Studio One from JRR Shop at the moment. Extra 10% Discount on checkout. https://www.jrrshop.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Presonus+studio+one&order=relevance&dir=desc Edited November 21, 2016 by lowdown Quote

The only difference on Black Friday is the businesses take advantage of the panic-buying that goes on as you "buy now or miss out" Quote

HengistPod Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Note that there's a "Record Store Day" event for Black Friday too ... not so many things available here as in the US, but a few bits of Ltd Ed vinyl to please most folks. http://recordstoreday.co.uk/exclusive-releases/black-friday/ Quote

It's the way shops get rid of old stock so they can make room for the Xmas/new year stuff. Quote
Musicman20 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I've just got £15 off a new Boss guitar amp (I wanted a solid state clean pedal platform with acoustic ability....and it does that AND it goes down to 0.5W!) just by asking if they could do a Black Friday type deal. It's not an expensive amp and I didn't want it to be... Also, Amazon have some awesome Star Wars t-shirts in all sizes (well a lot of them)...including some weird designs. Smashing Pumpkins t shirt for £7. More than 3 and you get another 10% off and free delivery over £20. Strings Direct have some cheap guitar string offers today....today only...(not bass). Quote
EBS_freak Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 JH Audio... between 10 and 15 percent off. Quote
bubinga5 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Can I be bothered with Black Friday.? Can I f***. Awful consumers squabbling over crap they dont need. Horrible American import Quote
timmo Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I really dont trust the price reductions. You get inflated RRP that no one ever sells it for, and puts a lower price which is roughly what it was selling for 6 months ago. There are probably bargains out there, but not that many Quote

Awful consumers squabbling over crap they dont need. Horrible American import [/quote] This. So pointed it's worth saying twice! Minor caveat: there will be people who use it as an opportunity to get something they've genuinely been after at a knockdown price, but we all know that most won't... Spirit of the age, sad to say. seashell Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Agree with Bubinga5 and Lefty. I was tempted to join in with the Boycott Black Friday movement, but I do actually have to buy quite a lot of groceries as I'm having a friend to stay for the weekend! :-) But other than that, I won't be buying anything. LayDownThaFunk Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 I love Black Friday because you do get genuine bargains. If you're in America. Which I am right now... Quote
