Small, portable 10 or 12" cab

As the title suggests, my bass player needs to get hold of a small, portable and lightweight cab that can still kick out a little thunder. Suggestions? I guess it needs to be 4 or 8 ohms as he's using the terror 500 as an amp.

If you can find one I would suggest the Ashdown Mibass 10 or 12 inch cabs. There have been some in the classifieds recently.

What's he going to use it for?

In terms of bangs per buck (i.e. quality & output -v- lightness & size) the easy winner IMHO is the Barefaced OneTen. Ludicrously good for something that small.

Yeah that barefaced looks awesome but I don't think he wants to spend that much brass!

Stylistically he's playing pop rock and generally has quite a bit of grit via sansamp di . I think 2-300 quid is all he has to spend.

Around £250 would get him a used Barefaced one10 or £319 would get him a used one.

Since the one10 isn't on the market that long I think he should buy a used one, as it won't be very old anyway.

I hope he gets sorted soon.
