Nicko
Shouldn't she be wearing spandex or something when playing ths type of guitar music? Never really got that neo classical thing that Ygnwie et al did, although clearly her technique is pretty good.
mikel
Turn off the Tube Screamer and then we will see how good the technique is. Would sound better on a classical guitar.

There are lots of things I cant do, and most of them I am not interested in.
ern500evo
As I commented on the other thread earlier, I've seen her cover of Paganini's 5th Caprice, the piece that Steve Vai did at the end of the Crossroads film, and it's pretty impressive imo. mikel
As, say, an exam piece it is very impressive, but as music it does nothing for me. Paul Kossoff could convey more emotion with two notes.
ColinB
It's brilliant. Not my thing, and I couldn't listen to a whole album of it, but it's still brilliant.
bigd1
Fantastic playing if that is your thing, although a little dated. I may be wrong but, isn't Moonlight Sonata about the night, quite time of the day, a time to relax. This version seems a little heavy for my idea of a "Sonata" but that is just me. [/quote] The title Moonlight Sonata wasn't Beethoven's. I once read that is was written because he had an unrequited crush on one of his pupils, to whom it is dedicated. He wasn't commissioned to write it either which is interesting. It has a terrible beauty to me moving on to a rather disturbed and agitated passion, terribly sad and shading into madness. He broke the rules of the classical sonata in writing it that way with the build up towards the end. I'm not sure I'd ever listen to the guitarist playing it again, just pointing out the virtuosity in one of her party pieces.
