Hello,

For sale is my Orange Terror Bass 500. I've owned this amp for around four years and it's served me very well - a real workhorse of an amp.

This thing is LOUD. Kicks out 500w and can run at either 4 or 8 ohms, which is really handy for cab flexibility. Really great full warm Orange tone in a very small package.

The valves that this shipped with were very high gain and low quality, so I have replaced them with some lower gain NOS 12AT7's (Phillips 12AT7WA and a RFT ECC81). This has warmed up the sound - giving a great old school valve warmth, more clean headroom to the amp and tamed the otherwise loud DI.

Included is the original case for the amp, as well as a speakon cable and power supply.

The only minor thing is the light sometimes does not turn on when the amp is powered up - no idea why this happens, and it can be solved by tapping the light. Might be a loose connection to the bulb or something. This does not affect the use of the amp at all, it is purely cosmetic. The amp still powers up and runs fine. Other than that, it's just some very minor wear and tear from a few years of gigging.

I've used this for live and studio work, and it's been great. A cracking little amp that deserves a new home!

This is a bargain with the lower gain valves - I love mine but it does indeed go to super high gain immediately, so I'm tempted to try swapping too!

I love my OTB and have swapped the hi-gain valves to Mullards. Would recommend highly!

I've got one of these, and it's a cracking amp with the original valves anyway - so any improvement in that area, and this is a bargain price. It's a seriously good amp - lovely warm tones and great control / tonal options. Nice & lightweight too
