littleal Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) This is my sei bass i have for sale or trade for an early warwick 5 or 6 string thumb bolt on, i hope the pics work Edited October 17, 2008 by littleal
Rich Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Have to say I agree. Obviously it's yours to do with as you wish, but if you job that in for a Warwick then you're
Bilbo Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Always fancied one of these but Bag End is a wonga free zone at the moment so, unless thrteen dwarves turn up unexpectedly later today, the chances of me finding my fortune soon are slim.
Golchen Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Heh! just been looking at that on fleabay. Real nice looking bass, too bad it's not a 5 stringer.
chris_b Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 You're trading an Aston Martin for an MX-5!!!
Bigwan Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008
You're trading an Aston Martin for an MX-5!!!
That's stretching it a little! What is it with all the Warwick bashing. They're still cracking basses, which is no doubt why this guy wants one.
Kev Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 dude do not trade this for a bolt on thumb, you will lose so much money! sell iti first, and then buy a thumb
littleal Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 Hmm!!! Maybe i should keep it ?? i think i got so use to my warwick. everyone i know is saying i'm crazy for selling it  i'm gonna have to rethink this one. This seems like a cool site, Thanks for your honest opinions guy's
bubinga5 Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Arent Warwick's going rapidly down in price..I would sell the Sei, then buy a Thumb. A trade wouldnt be a fair price match me thinks..
eude Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Well I sold a Warwick Bolt-On Thumb 5 String, a 90's one with a Wenge neck in good condition for £700 last year. I reckon your Sei is probably worth at least twice that mate! Eude
Kev Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008
Why all the Warwick bashing?
nothing wrong with warwicks mate, its their value at the moment i think is being bashed this sei is worth twice as much if not more than a thumb in the current market
MythSte Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 I feel sorry for the bloke sat there with a nice Thumb after a Sei! He's going to come round to all your houses one by one...
littleal Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 I'm starting to think maybe i should try & find an early thumb & just keep my sei bass ??
elros Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 What a sweet bass!!!! Would you consider trading for any of my stuff???

littleal Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 I have taken it off ebay as i'm having second thoughts on selling it especialy after what you guy's have said, i'm gonna have a play around with it & see if i can get use to it, the playability of it is incredible it's trying to get use to the sound, i had my warwick for a long time & just got use to the tone but this sei sounds so different.
Kev Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) dude if you dont like the sei, then you dont like it, dont try n force yourself to, i think what me and others are saying is that you would be very silly to trade it for a thumb bass as the sei is worth WAY more at the moment, but if you really want a thumb again, sell the sei, pocket a load of cash AND get a thumb Edited October 14, 2008 by BassManKev

6stringbassist Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Have you ever played a Warwick 6 string, the two I've played had necks like telegraph poles, very uncomfortable to play, whereas the neck on my Sei 6 string is the best I've played.
Silent Fly Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 I used to own this Sei 6 strings. It is one of the best 6 string basses I ever played. Great B string, perfect balance, fantastic tone. Keep it.
littleal Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 I use to have a bolt on 6 string, are the neck throughs thicker ??
