Let someone else find and rectify any teething troubles, have it for a few years then decide to move it on at a loss. Happens all the time. I got my US made jazz on eBay with hard case for under £400 when the new price was about twice that. In fact the shop receipt was still in the hard case and (because it had been bought on Denmark St) the owner had paid a bit over twice that and it was about 18 months old when I got it, apart from a few scuffs on the scratchplate it was mint. I've owned basses that have cost 5x the price and I've still always picked up the Squier. Incredible sound and playability and you can pick them up for buttons. timhiggins Posted December 6, 2016 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Try as many as possible and work out if you want active or passive ,i have a sire v7 ,a fender jazz with j retro pre ,and squier vm jazz ,and would recommend all plus another to try would be the Cort gb74 which is very jazz like and any other Cort bass is well worth a try .
