spectoremg Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 The body's a bit Jazz meets Bongo too. Quote
Muppet Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 The whole is not necessarily greater than the sum of the parts..... Quote
edstraker123 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I've got one and I absolutely love it - seen off most of the customs I've owned. Quote

Bassassin Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 That Jazz looks like a bitsa made using a blank headstock neck & that's presumably the best the builder could manage. Now this, on the other hand, is what you call a fugly headstock: And this isn't far behind: Quote
Rich Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Yup, it's another ! I was looking at / listening to the latest Bass Gear Mag online (including @Dood's excellent review of the new Sire Vs) when my eye fell on one of the NAMM exhibitors, a builder called 'LEH'. They appear to be jolly nice basses in the main, but oh dear dear deary deario, what in the blinking buggery flip is going on with that headstock shape. It makes the old Lodestone one look elegant. https://www.lehguitars.com/ Quote

Having video reviewed hundreds of basses for both Bass Gear Magazine and Guitar Interactive and being part of Bass Guitar Mag / Bass Player Magazine, you'd have thought that I'd have some clear memories of some truly 'questionable' designs @Rich lol. The most memorable ones tended to be the ones that arrived unplayable! .. Thankfully, in the grand scheme of things, they were very rare. Usually the designs that irk me are the ones that scream "We're copying the body design of one of the most iconic instruments in history, because we can, but we couldn't be bothered and gave the headstock designing to a drunk.." 1 Quote
