zenbassuk
Hiya Everyone, so I am thinkin about my Christmas Box this year and I have hit upon a problem. I used to own a Boss GT6-B which was a fanastic piece of kit and one of those things you always regret selling.. I am really wanting to have one back in my life but looking at eBay and various other sites they are still going for a pretty penny.... I have also seen this https://www.thomann.de/gb/digitech_rp500.htm It seems to have good reviews and I am going to try and see if I can find one locally to go and play with. Does anyone have experience of ths RP500 and how it compares to the GT6-B.. Even though the Boss is now over a decade old it still hold up strong and my budget cannot strech to the new ME- 50B So its do I go shiney and new or go a rough and ready ?? Any thoughts would be great Thank You Ben
Skybone
I'd say go with what you know. The Digitech may be good but you know that you achieved a good sound with the Boss. The Digitech may surprise you of course, and the Boss might not be as good as you recall, but it will also have a better residual price than the Digitech. tonyquipment
If you want to save a few quid then go used. If you want or feel a bit flush then go new.
bazzbass
I have the ME 50B, it sits in the cupboard while my analogue pedals get played. those digital COSM tones are just aweful. Buy a comp, a chorus, a fuzz and anything else you like. You don't need the majority of stuff on multi fx units.
