niceguyhomer Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Will this work ok in the UK with the right kettle lead?
lownote Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 well it certaimnly looks like a UK 3 pin socket in the shot of the back
niceguyhomer Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 You have a remarkable grasp of the obvious lownote 12
LewisK1975 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Looks like it says 230v on the label. Would make sense as Portugal's standard electricity supply voltage is 220-240v.
LewisK1975 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) I'd say Yes, this is on their FAQ's: Can I use my Markbass amp in countries with different voltages? No! Your amp/combo was manufactured to be sold and used in the country of purchase, and is factory preset to that country's voltage. If you use it in a country with a different voltage without using a power converter, it will not work and may be seriously damaged. So the voltage would be the same, maybe ask MarkBass themselves via email? I don't know what their response time is like, mind you. Edited December 12, 2016 by LewisK1975
yorks5stringer Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) This query happens at least 4 times a year due to the MB disclaimer which is really only to stop UK/EU residents importing cheap MB stuff from the USA where the voltages are 'mark'edly different! In fact it is possible to even change a US voltage to UK, (see Youtube) but European voltages work right across Europe.... Obviously MB would rather their Importers to each Country got the sales rather than pan European or even transatlantic imports. Edited December 12, 2016 by yorks5stringer
rpsequeira Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 Sorry for the late answer, but yes, it works in UK and i can suply it with a uk cord
