el borracho
My 1999 2 band Stingray is working but on full volume I only get about quarter of it's normal output. A battery leaked in it at one point but after cleaning up it worked ok after that. Anyone in the know?
stingrayPete1977
Have you had a look inside? I wonder if the jack socket contact needs a little bending back into place or maybe a good squirt of servisol spraying through the pots and jack socket? el borracho
Not yet. Thought I would ask first in case somebody had an instant resolution - "you need a new high voltage flange capacitor"...or something like that! I'll give that a try, Cheers

malcolm.mcintyre
I am sure it will be a problem with the connection between the battery and pre-amp board. On mine it was a hidden break in the wire where it entered the body routing between battery compartment and pre-amp/controls cavity. Easy to check if you have a voltmeter, just see if 9v is seen at the pre-amp. Edited April 6, 2017 by malcolm.mcintyre
el borracho
I am sure it will be a problem with the connection between the battery and pre-amp board.
Much delayed reply (I only got round to fixing it a couple of weeks ago) but it turned out to be a bad soldered joint on the battery box. Cheers!
