BigRedX
As the title says. eBay seem to be intent on bombarding me with emails for items I've looked at just the once. Normally things that have been posted here that I've had a look at to see just how awful (usually) they are. If I look at an item and I'm interested in it, I'll add it to my watch list, and if I'm really interested in it, I'll put on a bid. Everything else AFAIAC is useless crap that I never want to see again, and I certainly don't want to receive an email asking if I'm still interested in it a couple of days later. I've looked through my eBay preferences and can't see any obvious settings to change. Maybe someone on here knows what to do?
Roger2611
Ebay drives me potty at times, OK they don't email me, (not sure why you are getting emails about stuff you only looked at but I do get emails about any watched items ending soon or having ended etc.) what really drives me potty is the way it shows the last items looked at irrespective of who is signed in or out, for 2 years now I have had to buy my wife's pressies elsewhere as if it was the last thing looked at it would still show up on her profile or even on the unlogged in page.....probably something to do with IP addresses but a total pain in the butt and something Ebay seemed unable to understand why it could be an issue! ped
I'd like to know, too. Specifically, how to filter out items I've already seen that have been re-listed. I collect a series of rare books and have a search set up to find newly listed items. No emails, I check it most days. 99.9% of the time the books it announces as new are ones that have been re-listed hundreds of times in the years I've been collecting. Is there a way to ignore relished items? Not that I can find...
AndyTravis
I have an email address just for eBay, so if I know I really need to check for something I can log in. But it's full of crappy "you looked at this, what about these items?" E-mails. About 4000 to be exact.
BigRedX
Not using a regularly checked email address defeats the object when it comes to reminders for things I am interest in like items on my watch list that I haven't decided whether or not to bid on. I think that the only real solution is to use two different browsers for looking at stuff on eBay. One where I'm not logged in for random browsing and checking out links in this forum, and then another where I am logged in for stuff that I am considering buying or bidding on. I was hoping that there was a more convenient solution.

I've looked all the way through the Communication Preferences and I can't see any options that apply to my situation. I'll try unsubscribing next time I get an email about something I've looked at just once - I'm expecting a whole load of them in the next couple of days for stuff I've checked out from thinks in other threads here - and see what happens. BigRedX
My Ebay | Account | Communication preferences
I looked there. AFAICS none of the options cover this particular situation.
