For sale is this used but perfectly sounding and playing Stentor double bass. I got this is a trade around 18 months ago, and haven't really used it much, hence me deciding to sell it.

The bass is an Andreas Zeller, made for Stentor in Romania. It has a carved top, with ply back and sides and has an ebony finger board. The bass was well looked after by it's previous owner, and had work done by Martin Penning, I believe. It has a realist pickup fitted, and comes with a set of Spirocore, medium orchestral strings by Thomastic, which are currently around 3 years old, but have probably had around 20 hours use since I've had it the past year or so.

There is a ply block attached to the side (see photo) from where the original owner fitted a preamp/ mixer to it for his mic system I believe. I would not attempt to remove them myself, they appear to be glued on.

The bass also comes with a superb Soundwear gig bag, which is in perfect condition (cost over £200 new)

The bass has had a lot of use, I have tried my best to photograph the bits of wear and tear, the lighting isn't great I'd be happy to have another go if people require more/ better shots of it.

I had a lot of fun with this bass - it's a great instrument for travelling and "working" gigs. Would make a perfect first bass (with good pickup and a great case) for anyone so inclined 😜.

What a bargain for someone to get started - we (at BC) get asked lots of questions about buying DB's for beginners and you have to be prepared to wait, but this would be worth travelling for!
