Shabbs
Hi Thinking of tuning my 5 string to EADGC, what guages and indeed string set's would suit this tuning? appreciated Edited December 15, 2016 by Shabbs
bazzbass
I'd use a normal set 45-105 or maybe 50-110 and buy a C string from bassstringsonline
CrackerJackLee
I think of all the great chords that could be played on EADGB! Just starting with the major triad in root, first and second inversion: | | | | 5 | | | 3 | | | 1 | | | | | 5 | | | | | 1 | | 3 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 5 1 3 Edited December 16, 2016 by CrackerJackLee
Delberthot
I'd stick to the gauge I always used for E A D & G and use a 30 for the C - a 25 always felt too thin and shrill to me Strings direct do single strings for Rotosound, D'addario, Elixir, Elites & DR so buy a regular set and then add in your choice of C or you could even make your own custom set entirely of singles. My personal favourite set would be Chromes - 32, 45, 60, 80, 110. That way you could still drop the E as well if needed Edited December 16, 2016 by Delberthot
