pete.young
A very nice Yamaha BB800 from 1978. I'd really like to see it go for £750 - no connection with the seller, but I have an identical bass from 77/78, serial number a couple of hundred lower, and I think it would fetch about half that much on a good day! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322360476739?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Edited December 17, 2016 by pete.young
Bassassin
Very nice, always liked these. Makes me wonder about prices of Yamahas from that era & actual differences in the model range. I had a BB400S which, apart from being fretless, lacking a scratchplate and being a few years later (83, I think it was) looked pretty much identical, build & components-wise. These sell for about £150 - £180, on a good day & don't appear to be much less scarce. Wonder why there's such a massive difference in value? pete.young
It's back. Now at £499, which seems more likely. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-BB800-Bass-Guitar-1978-Black-Made-In-Japan-/322391312889?hash=item4b100509f9:g:sM8AAOSwa~BYRrF2
King Tut
I've got a BB400s from 82 and it's one of a couple in my collection that I gig most. Bit plain, bit of a workhorse but just plays n sounds lush! Paid £80 for her but there's a bit of a back story!
