I'm selling this nice Vanzandt Pbass, real nice condition especially considering it's a full-nitro bass, w/ very thin layers. These basses are handmade in Japan by PGM, Moon & Vanzandt builder. Nice materials, nice craftmanship too, these basses are easily on par with best Fender replicas money can get – have Bravewood, Fender CS, Navigator in mind.

Neck is damn-straight with low action, no fretbuzz at all with the strings 2mm above 12[sup]th[/sup] fret. Real-gorgeous madagascar rosewood fingerboard, medium frets as new, oil-finished bone-nut. Neck-profile is between B and C shape, 40mm width, very comfy one. Fairly light for a P : 9 lbs / 4,1 kg. Trussrod is in great working condition - plenty life left, though being strung with 45-105 stainless steel Rotosounds.

As for the sound, got to say it's one of the best Ps i had. My Pbass is the exact same Vanzandt, it made me sell my 66 Fender. Better neck, the same dynamics everywhere, more mediums, especially when it's strung with stainless steel roundwounds. Difficult to be disappointed with this one, if you're after that Motown goodness, or these pick-friendly growly mids. Killer slap tone too.

I wouldn't call it a damage, as the body remains untouched, which isn't obvious on my pic indeed.

Btw i bought the bass like that. I don't know what happened but it's not a fall or a shock, otherwise there would have some signs on the wood. Maybe the bass was against a wall and the surface scratched against it when its previous owner took it, or something like that. It's so easy to do such things with nitro layers, they're really thin and fragile.

Maybe it's only me, but my other full nitro basses, "full" as opposed to only top lacquer ones, haven't their coat in such a good condition. I'd say then the layers and coat of this one are in pretty shape, really :-)

Beautiful but fragile.

I own the same pbass slightly more worn. :P I must say it's the best rosewood PBass I've ever played. I've owned a few Fender re-issues and Custom Shop. I must say I've never seen a bass with such a thin nitro finish. Its tone and playability are amazing!

Slightly indeed :D Thanks for your feedback on your P. These are mainly sold in Japan, not so common in Europe. They're what i found closest to vintage tone and feel.

This one is in nice condition, great neck too, half Vanzandt Ps street price.
