Dave Vader Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Never The dog is sometimes incredibly generous towards me though. Quote
spongebob Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 PS4! I've even put it in the cupboard and I'm not going to open it until the 25th...even though I've already paid for it! Quote
josie Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Bruce Springsteen's autobiography - half price at Waterstones - couldn't walk past it. To read during the holiday. Gibson Les Paul Special double cut-away (Lucille look-alike) signed by B B King. The time of year is just a coincidence though. I won't get my hands on it until into the new year, for now I'll have to make do with feeling smug Quote
RhysP Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 I'm thinking of buying myself a digital piano but I can't really justify the expense. Quote
LiamPodmore Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I bought myself Steep, Forza Horizon 3's Blizzard Mountain expansion and a cooling upgrade for my PC. Might get something else yet. Quote
Earbrass Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Had a rush of blood to the mouse finger and bought a Dave Smith Instruments Evolver Mono desktop synth on ebay. Fancied trying it out, and got it for a price where if I don't get on with it I can hopefully move it on without major loss. Touch and go whether it will arrive before xmas. Quote
Geek99 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I bought myself a fish man preamp for my 12 string guitar. It has a tuner unlike the apc that comes as standard Quote

TrevorR Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 My wife and I bought each other a Roland Digital Piano for Christmas so I guess that counts. But my real indulgence each Christmas is to buy the double Crimble editions of Private Eye and New Scientist and find myself some space over Christmas to read them. Quote
Harryburke14 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 of course. I havent got a mrs at the minute so i spoil me because i love me. Quote
Lozz196 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Just ordered an Ashdown RM-500. If it works out ok I`ll probably defect from Aguilar to Ashdown as the sound seems to have a bit more oomph to it. Quote
Mudpup Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Just picked up a new compressor off here and treated myself to a Pedaltrain Metro 16 to stick it on and build a minimal pedalboard Quote
Cestrian Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Kala U Bass from Bass Direct. Best price I could find online and I'm loving the portability. Will be travelling with me pretty much every overnight stay. I took my Fender Jaguar to Australia last year and it was no fun lugging it around. Getting more accustomed to the polyurethane strings. Quote
lojo Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Not usually , but I brought a popmaster book for everyone at work and decided to get an extra copy for myself, does that count ? Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I've got welding tools from the wife for Christmas but I've a few more things in my watch list including a big bottle of gas which can't be posted so I might see if I can collect it while I'm off. We had a new car this year so that has wiped us out, jam sandwiches for Christmas at our house Quote
MisterT Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Finally decided on a Voodoo Lab ISO-5, picked it up from gear4music yesterday and MrsT is apparently going to wrap it up so I've something to open Sunday morning. I've even got the cordless drill on charge in readiness. Quote
funkgod Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Treated my self to an MXR talkbox it came today, iv just been aahhhaammmerrr .. pre checking it, you know, to make sure it work and that, i mean i would hate to open it on christmas day and find it does not work , its gooood Quote
itsmedunc Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 As any BC'er knows. We buy ourselves presents, love them, think they are the bollo*ks and then sell them at a loss as we get GAS. Again! Quote
chriswareham Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Just bought a Commodore 64 and Steinberg Pro 16 sequencer software as a Christmas present to myself :-) MIDI sequencing like it's 1984! Edited December 24, 2016 by chriswareham Quote
kodiakblair Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 The Cat's never had a job for as long as I've known him. It's down to me to get presents for both of us. This year it's a joint present. He gets loads of cheap pedals and I get a Diago Gigman pedalboard on sleep in. Quote
bluesparky Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016
No, but I bought myself an MXR Bass Envelope Filter for my 50th this year...
I bought myself one for Christmas!! Quote
BobVbass Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Tried my best but the chap seemed to take offence at me asking if he'd include postage in the price of the bass. Thought I'd save up instead now and buy myself a nice birthday present instead Quote
dmccombe7 Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 All from same bank account so doesn't really matter but i usually tell my wife what i would like and more than likely i'll just order it myself, she wraps it and hey ho Xmas is jolly and everyone's happy. Dave Quote
