I play finger style electric guitar. Experiencing a slight problem of finger nail noise coming through with the note. I am currently using nickel wound strings. Do you use a different type of string to eliminate nail noise? Just to mention my nails are cut right down to the finger tip.

Pretty sure string type would only reduce noise from your fretting hand. Can't you embrace the noise as a natural part of the fingerstyle sound?

Flatwounds are sweet but duller than rounds. Sorry to disagree with Japanaxe, but I don't think they will make any difference with noise from your right hand, they will however, stop any string squeaking from your left hand. D'addario Chromes are very nice, used them a lot on an old jazz guitar I had.
