J Retro with Kent Armstrong Soapbars ?

I have a custom made high quality bitsa with 2 old kent armstrong soapbar pickups however the pre amp is the highest output pre i've ever come across [ it has a very high passive output let alone active ]
it is also an extremely sensitive eq and not very user friendly,
what i am thinking of doing is installing a J Retro pre i have ...does anyone know if this will be compatible ?

I would suggest yes. The J-Retro has trim pots on the input. They work with active pickups.
