Aria swb - tail piece too short ?

Hey guys
I picked up a sweet aria swb eub last week... one problem I have is that the tail piece/spike is too short. At its full extension the bass is still a good foot too short for me when stood up
Has it been cut down perhaps ? Where can I buy a longer one ?

I play sat down anyway as my back is well, ruined.... but I do occasionally like to stand up, even if just for a short while.

Does anyone else have an aria swb, if so, what strings are you using ?
