tom1946
Hi all, I have a MIM Precision and want some better lightweight tuners for it, not really a problem I know but the Hipshot types have smaller bores where they fit through the neck, mine being around 18mm and theirs about 13mm. Anyone recommend some decent tuners please that will be a straight fit? Thanks. Tom.
Grahambythesea
Gotoh make lightweight tuners with the clover leaf style keys but they cost an arm and a leg. Fender also make a lightweight key which was fitted to the deluxe models. I think Hipshot make them in 2 sizes one of which should fit. Some of these only seem to be available in the USA. threedaymonk
Hipshot do the lightweight machines for both 9/16" (~ 14 mm) and 11/16" (~ 17mm) holes: https://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=108 The larger size should be right for your bass. They're not cheap, mind.
