Whatcha think? Quote
dannybuoy Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 That's a bargain! I think they mispriced it thinking it was the cheaper Ray4, that's an £800 bass up there. Quote
dannybuoy Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017
Not bad - although Thomann have them for a bit less. https://www.thomann....CFUEUGwodT3oD9Q
Not the same bass, that's a Ray4 rather than a Ray34. dannybuoy Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Judging by the fact there is a hoover underneath, I assume that is a local crack converters? Quote
Dandelion Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 I am staying here in a hotel overnight. So I either pull the trigger tomorrow AM. Or leave it. Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Crikey that is cheap, makes you wonder where they got it from?! Quote
Cato Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 It's an odd one as it's overpriced for a second hand Ray4 but seriously underpriced for a second hand Ray34. As long as it works it's an absolute bargain. Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 You couldn't go wrong with that, I'd just keep the receipt safe in case the 'original owner' comes looking for it. Quote
Lozz196 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Great price for a Ray34 - used they`re usually in the £500 bracket. Quote
Harryburke14 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 If you dont want it then buy it and Id take it... Quote
Dandelion Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 Yup. Trigger pulled. She lives with me now. Harryburke14 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Damn. Gotta find me the nearest cash converters and see if I can pull the same trick... Quote
Dandelion Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 She's pretty much mint too. Strings naff though. Quote
Harryburke14 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I think I may be feeling jealousy. Looks fantastic and at a steal price too. But I think congratulations on a very nice NBD are in order so: Happy NBD!!! Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 You can't lose there, excellent. Quote
Musashimonkey Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Well, there's one bonus for so many confusingly named ranges of varying quality basses! Fantastic. 😊 Quote

darkandrew Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) I was walking past my local Cash Converters today and had a look in the window. There right in the middle was a Squier Telecaster proudly being sold as a "Fender Telecaster"'. Thought I'd take a minute or two to pop in and point out the error to them - not interested; "Yeah mate, it's a Fender made by Squier" was the response that I got. Oh dear! Mattmit Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Slightly unrelated but still related. My friend found a white USA strat in our local pawn shop for £250. It was beautiful, she called me up to go with her to check if it was genuine, I wish I was a sociopath so I could have gone down ahead of her and grabbed it. Quote
Treb Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017
... so I could have gone down ahead of her and grabbed it.
IMO you would no longer qualify as a friend... Quote
