Was in the process of checking this out prior to selling it (it had been stored for 3 months) when it went pop after about half an hour of playing it at full tilt. With the pop was a nasty smell I've come to associate with capacitors, but it's just a hunch.

Replace the fused, amp turns on. Now very down on power and very easy to drive the preamp into distortion... All the valves are glowing about the same, including the preamp valves..

Serial number is BP000325 if that helps..

Any thoughts? I've contacted Dennis Marshall to take a look but it turns out he's out of the country till mid march. Who is next on the list of Mesa master repairers? :-)

All feedback/ideas welcomed...

Bit far from Bristol.

I'd prefer Brizzle to central London or Stockport... No response from WestSide as of yet...
