HughRichardson Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Hey guys! My teaching site recently did a round up of the top 50 bass sites on the web and of course bass chat was featured! Here's the article http://onlinebassguitar.com/top-50-bass-sites-web/ It'd be great to know what you guys think! Cheers, Hugh Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I see that you mention online bass publications, discussion forums and online stores in the same article, so I think you could count among our top 50 Thomann (not exclusively bass-related but my God, the GAS it's always causing us on Basschat is unbelievable!), Bass Gear, who has recently moved to online-only business and possibly Warwick Quote
ped Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 That's great, please pass on my thanks. Some new sites for me to check out there, too. Quote
Barking Spiders Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 IMO Talking Bass should be much higher than #35. Best tuition site I've come across, the way it's laid out, the structure of the tutorials. Mark's easy to follow explanations and his delivery plus he's a top player. Quote
TrevorR Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Interesting to see Rob's The Gibson Bass Book website listed among the top 50. It is a really nicely designed website too! Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Trevor's post has just reminded me that his blog should also be in the list! From his signature: Wal Bass History Quote

TheGreek Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Playbassnow.com only No32??? Outrageous!! DK Marlowe has put out some incredible lessons/videos/learning material - should be much higher. Quote

From his signature: Wal Bass History
Aw bless you Silvia! In that case if my blog is worth a read then these two definitely are too... Bluejay's General (but hugely bass heavy) music blog - https://bassclef141.wordpress.com And... Her blog about bassing leftie in a righty world (says the person who's leftie for everything except bass/guitar, using a knife and fork and blowing my nose) - https://leftybassgirl.wordpress.com Edited January 10, 2017 by TrevorR Quote
