Myke, guessing that you'll find this version moving in a rather different way... was in the studio audience when this was recorded. Still leaves me with a huge grin today!

More than just a touch of Morcambe & Wise in there! (never a bad thing btw :) )

Sadly the one I'd love to post isn't available - Bonnie's tribute to BB King at the Grammy Awards, where she wiped the floor with Chris Stapleton and Gary Clark on a version of The Thrill Has Gone - that was a very special performance.

I am familiar with that one actually. Not on vimeo either? I admit I didn't check.

Great call, the ladies voice is pure gold. Her rendition of "Fields of Gold" is another that gets me going.

This version of California Dreaming - the original is great, but always sounded sunny and happy, hiding the true melancholy of the lyrics. Here, Phillips age and fragility (he died before the album could be released) really shows through. Once those Mexican BV's kick in I'm gone!

And of course, Johnny Cash's recording of "Hurt" for exactly the same reasons.

Can never watch it without getting a tear in my eye.

Vaughan Williams is the best. I've had the pleasure of playing this piece a couple of times, once with the BT Scottish Ensemble standing beside Clio Gould-no pressure!
