So that's 17 people who are interested in attending this event.

So long as someone (else) organises it.

And chooses which town to hold it in.

And sets a date which doesn't clash with everyone's diary.

What could possibly go wrong?

Right, well in the absence of anyone else doing, i've possibly got us a venue.

It's in Southampton about a mile 1/2 away from where the M27 is a junction away from the M3. So not in Southampton centre, but easy to get to.

The cost for the room - large room that can hold approx 150 people, with a small stage in a corner - is £180.00, £100.00 of which is a refundable deposit.

There is ample private parking, and we can make noise. the only draw back is that it's on the first floor and there is no lift.

How does that sound?

Now we just need a date...

Go on then - I'm in and could also get us a hall in Hedge End (a 1980ish church building with OK acoustics) for not a lot.

That would suit me! How many of the 2018 crew are still breathing/plucking, I wonder?

I know of one or two people not on here who would come, including a tech friend who is a wizard at fixing amps and would probably quite happily set up a table in the corner with a soldering iron and fix things on the fly for people - it took him twenty minutes to find a faulty transistor and switch it out on an old Trace Elliot for me this weekend!

I'm happy to arrange to book St. Lukes church in Hedge End which is modernish, has a decent PA and carpets (helps with the acoustics!), is close to the M27 so easy to get to, and has a Tescos two minute walk away for refreshments. But will need to collect a couple quid from everyone to cover the cost if others think this is suitable.

But looking at some of the other bass bash threads can someone else start compiling a list of attendees and kit being brought?
