retro Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) PRICE DROP TO £800 For Sale: My lovely Clover Avenger 5 String Handmade Bass in cherryburst. Bought new in late 2012 and has only been used in my home studio. (Price New £1,695) Clover has been making handmade basses in Germany since the 1980's and this is a lovely example. The three Delano pickups give a huge range of tonal possibilities which are enhanced by the 3 band Delano EQ. All pickups can be used individually or in combinations of two or thee giving some really big sounds both modern and retro. 3 knobs for bass/mid/treble boost and cut. Treble control acts as a tone control in passive mode. 1 push/pull knob for volume and active/passive modes. 1 pickup selector in combination the bottom switch. Top switch alternates the bottom two pickups in parallel or serial modes and produces a nice bass boost both in active or passive mode. 24 medium frets. Alder body with one piece maple neck. Side and fretb/d markers. Weight: 4.1kg/9lbs. 3 way adjustable high mass custom bridge set at 19mm at the moment. Plays like a dream with a slim fast neck, 20" radius strung with La Bella Vapour Shield long life strings. No trades as I need the funds for a new bass I have found. Collect or meet half way. BassApprentice Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) I remember seeing that in a magazine and instantly falling in love with the Avenger. That neck is amazing! Sadly outwith the GAS budget but good luck! Edited January 12, 2017 by BassApprentice
