Alvarez Dana Offset bass

Popped up on eBay. Odd looking thing. I was in a band with a guitarist who had an Alvarez Dana Scoop guitar and he reckoned it was one of the best he had played (he had 30 or so, mostly Gibsons). So I guess this might be good?
