Before they [s]ruined[/s] upgraded the great R series into the lackluster RB series. I had an R5 and a R115 cab as a gig rig for a bit. Still got my same-era R1 practice amp from then too. Bass Culture Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I don't know why Laney don't get more love - they're a kind of like a British (or maybe 'British') Peavey, it seems to me. Good quality kit with decent basic tone with sensible and flexible tone shaping capabilities. I used one of their amps at a rehearsal a while back and was really impressed with it. GLWTS.
