B3K battery powered alternative ? & other pedal advice

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm putting a mini analog pedal board together & am looking for a B3K type pedal to add a little grit but that takes 9v batteries. I don't want any psu to plug in.

I'm also looking at an analog delay & the Moog MF Delay is currently top of my wish list.
Does anyone have any experience with this delay ? Could the 'drive' knob add the grit I'm after ?

And lastly tho not as important as the first two pedal recommendations, a nice modulation pedal.

All pedals 9v battery type & ideally not too big.

Any/all opinions most welcome :)

Just get a 9V battery clip to DC plug converter? There is nothing out there battery powered that sounds like a B3K.

Either that or a Pedaltrain Volto rechargeable power supply perhaps?

I have the pedaltrain volto, newer one. Like it a lot. Mine lasts about 4 or give hours with compressor and drive on pretty much constant. My rodenberg steps up the 9v to 18v so will be pulling a bit of current.

Happy with the volto. It'll run off mains too if needs be. Best of both worlds.

I've got one of these ordered

Rockboard (Warwick) power supply. Much like the Volto but a load cheaper.

Should reach me next week - I'll let you know if it is any good!
