vulfpeck inspired song - thoughts and comments please

Hi Basschatters,

i recently set myself a task of writing a song in the style of on of my favourite bands at the moment "Vulfpeck"

I thought id post it up her and see what you guys think from a songwriting perspective.... Bear in mind its not been properly mixed as of yet.

Any constructive comments welcome

pretty cool! I feel like the drums could be a bit looser, and should maybe go to a ride for the run out, and the rhythm on the main keys part could be a bit more interesting. It's definitely in the style of Vulfpeck! Nice one

Thanks for the feedback. And I'm glad you liked it It's all programmed midi parts except from the guitars and bass so it sounds a bit too regimented... like on the beat straight.... What's the word for that? No feel???

Vulfpeck are pushing my buttons at the moment too - obv Mr Dart's input being the main thing but the rest of it and stage presence etc. - they got it.

download the file and change the extension to mp3.should work then

unfortunatley i do not but my band thrill syndicate does!!

thanks and agreed. they blow my mind. They are also so accessible form a fan viewpoint. They post demos of their own songs. they reply to fans on youtube etc. not many other bands would find the time to do that.

My internet is too bad to open the file - but I've recently (somehow) discovered this band and I've got their entire catalogue on repeat.

So good. Lookin' forward to hearing your take on their style!
