Can someone recommend me a bass?

I'm looking for something to play mainly punk rock on, a kind of blink 182 hoppus style. However i'm a lefty so my options are limited, can someone recommend me a punk rock machine?

if it is just punk you are playing anything in a precision style. what exactly is dependant on your budget

A fender lefty jazz would be in your price range as well (a Mex at least) and that 'd be a pretty good punky bass.

Sure i'm gonna have to sell some stuff to raise budget but it seems to be what i'm after

any lefty P bass should do it. maybe a mexican P and slap in duncan quarter pounders, then you practically got a hoppus jazz but with a p body instead (after all, the hoppus jazz is just a precision with a jazz body)

a nice trans red precision, with a black scratchplate and maple board, i want one bad...!


there lovely to look at great sounding basses too, i just dont get on with the necks

If you're quick there's a tidy 80's Tokia precision ending on ebay at 3pm, and it's currently sitting at a mere £175.

Should be a decent bass - it was basically Tokia that forced Fender into producing the high quality Squier JV range in the early eighties.
