No baritone here! It's a short scale bass with two higher strings.

Hmmmmm ... You might want to rethink that, and re-read the description from Squier too.

Why? - that is what it is. It is a 30" guitar tuned a whole octave down, or a bass as we tend to call them. A baritone is invariably a guitar tuned down to A or B (such as duane eddys guitar, as mentioned earlier), with 27" scale.

Squier make 3 baritones, the VM Baritone Jaguar, the VM Baritone Jazzmaster, and the blacktop Baritone Telecaster. And one 6 string bass, the VM Bass VI - ie, this.

The description at fender: "Squier brings the return of a long-vanished Fender—the Vintage Modified Bass VI six-string bass. The original ’61-’75 provided distinctive low end for everyone from The Beatles to The Cure." - Is there a squier page any more, I thought they were all rolled into fenders site now.
