Hi there !

I'm from the west of France but I work in the Paris area at the moment.

I play the bass since I'm a teenager (I'm 35 now), and I have two small bands since last september.

I'm the lucky owner of a '91 Fender Precision Plus, a late 90's Fender JB (JPN) '75 reissue, and a Squier Precision Classic Vibe '50.

My favorite artists are mostly soul/funk artists : Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Kool & the Gang, George Benson, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, The Commodores... to name a few.

I joined you here for at least 3 reasons :
- the community here seems very nice ;
- I need to improve my English ;
- I'd like to purchase a Status bass and they are pretty rare in France.

:)

Thanks for your messages !

@Jacques : Tu veux dire que ce n'est pas le bon endroit pour faire de bonnes affaires ? Sympa la Normandie, j'ai vécu 2 ans à Caen, un très bon souvenir !

@ Cédric : Didn't see your questions on your introduction topic before, left my answer there.

@ Kev : Unfortunately I don't know much about Vigier. I remember the Excalibur guitar had a good reputation. And I like the shape of the head. The basses being sold in France are pretty expensive (1200 to 2500€) so I believe they play well and/or are quite rare or sought after.

I'm in Paris tomorrow and for the weekend to watch Guns n Roses. Any advice for fun rock bars / clubs and somewhere to watch the rugby on Saturday morning?

Welcome. You've certainly come to the right place to end up spending lots of money on basses!
