Low tension strings for acoustic bass

Hello Folks,
Looking for a bit of wisdom and advice. I'm thinking of buying an acoustic bass, I'd like it to feel (and sound) as much like my ShortBass one as possible. Anyone got any ideas where I can get nygut strings in long scale? Or what sort of 'conventional' strings would replicate the feel and sound of the thunder guts on my ShortBass? Needless to say,Aquila don't/won't do long scale strings and my enquiry to Pahoehoe seems to have gone the way of all flesh...

Pyramid black nylon flats are close, but very quiet acoustically- you'll have to plug in.

Thanks Basswood. I shall check them out. I usually plug in anyhow, so thats no biggie.

You might like to try la Bella gold nylons. Quite a lot looser than other nylon tape wound strings.
