Fretless conversion for Carbon Fibre Necks

Is it possible to convert a fretted carbon fibre neck to a fretless, in the same way as a wooden neck...and is it more expensive?

Is the fingerboard carbon? I believe Status have done it on their own basses. Usually a wood fillet is inserted where the fret would be. I don't think that would work on a composite board though?

It's potentially for a Status headless 4000.

The answer depends on the way the neck is engineered, but frankly your safer bet is to sell the fretted item and source an appropriate fretless version. At the very least speak to Status about it before going ahead.
