Bobthedog Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) For trade only; my cosseted four string 2013 Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe with fitted John East Retro Deluxe pre amp. Comes with the OEM pre amp, case and candy. I am looking for an equivalent quality / value Jazz 5 - it does not have to be Fender, What have you? The bass is immaculate with no dings but being black it does show some light swirl marks on the body. I can provide more pics to evidence the above, if needed, but only have these at the moment. Happy to deliver, within reason, so both parties can ensure they are happy to trade. Bobthedog Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Bump. I am not sure why there are no photo's showing. Will try to fix tonight
Bobthedog Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 No love for a superb MIA Jazz? It is a great sounding instrument, just missing a B string for me. Bump
lowregisterhead Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Nice. Like you, I'm after a 5 string version though. How is the East compared to the stock Fender preamp?

How is the East compared to the stock Fender preamp?
Thank you. I originally bought the East to help with volume issues I was having when I first got the Jazz. It has, however, a very different tone. Much more vintage and perhaps less "crisp"? Fort me it certainly is a keeper on the bass but recommend trying one if you can before buying.

I've got an East in my Lakland DJ5, and for me, it transformed the bass. GLWTS.
therealting Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Don't forget that the J-Retro is flat with the bass all the way DOWN. Lovely preamps (:
Bobthedog Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 Hey Ho, over 1,000 views and not a single sniff. Time to withdraw this baby and take it elsewhere.
therealting Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) Why not list it elsewhere AND leave it up? Never know when the right person will see it. Edited February 20, 2017 by therealting

I have lost interest in having to come back every 36 hours to bump the thread.
therealting Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 You can still just leave it here. I search the forum all the time when I have an interest in something. GLWTS, here or elsewhere.
