Mickeyboro
Guitarist, songwriter, author, raconteur, prince of Wales. A musical hero for decades, friend for 28 years, best man at my wedding. Whether Man, Iceberg or solo, his musical contributions were nothing if not distinctive. Redt in peace, pal.
KK Jale
So sorry for your loss. I read his books and feel almost as if I know the man. So long Deke
ezbass
Oh no! I love Deke's writing, proper laugh out loud stuff and a great raconteur. I have a DVD of him with Man; no slouch on the guitar either.

fleabag
Be Good To Youself At Least Once A Day and Rhinos Winos And Lunatics were some of our gang's standard fayre music back in the 70's when i were a lad, although Deke wasn't in the line up of Be Good after being sacked, but he was on Rhinos after folding Iceberg Another irreplaceable loss Edited February 1, 2017 by fleabag

el borracho
I was privileged to see Man twice complete with Deke and Micky Jones. The 2nd time Terry Williams was on drums - great memories. I was listening to Call Down The Moon only a couple of days ago.

jezzaboy
"Maybe I should have stayed in bed" is the best rock n roll story I have read. I don`t really like the Man band`s music as such but Deke`s books are brilliant. It was typical of me that just as I got into his books, the man passed away. Cheers for the link M, I will have a listen later on.
