gs_triumph Posted February 1, 2017 Share Posted February 1, 2017 Hi, I have a Rodenberg 728B pedal. It's the one with the two pedals, 808 overdrive and a clean boost, combined in to one unit. I absolutely love the overdrive side of the pedal but I don't really use the clean boost at all and could use the space on my board more effectively. I've been scouring the used market for a while looking for a standalone Rodenberg 808b but none are forthcoming. dannybuoy Posted February 1, 2017 Share Posted February 1, 2017 I've never tried one, but from clips it sounds kinda like a tubescreamer for bass, the Xotic BB Preamp should sound kinda similar and be easier to find used. Asking if there are any more you should be considering - well, yes, and be prepared for a million suggestions!!! I have a few faves but they all sound very different and some work best with different basses or playing styles. Pike Vulcan and Bearfoot Blueberry are probably my top picks.
