Bass Fumbler Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I am about to buy a Genz Benz Streamliner 600 amp, which I am going to pair with my two Fender Rumble 1 x 12 v3 cabs. The cabs are rated at 500 watts program and 250 watt continuous at 8 ohm. I just wanted to confirm that they will be compatible and I'm not going to fry anything. Quote
machinehead Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 It'll be fine. Just listen for ugly noises that tell you you're pushing the cab too much, but in practice, it's very unlikely to happen unless you boost the bass too much. Frank. Quote
Bass Fumbler Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Thanks Frank, that's what I thought, but better to check first. Cheers Andy Quote
karlfer Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Andy, just something to consider. The Streamliners are quite "bass heavy" for want of a better expression. Might be worth considering turning the bass rotary back from "noon" to about 9 o'clock on the dial. Enjoy, fabulous amps imo Edited February 2, 2017 by karlfer Quote
Bass Fumbler Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Thanks Karl, I'll bear it in mind.Hopefully I'll take delivery tomorrow or Saturday. Quote
Handwired Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 My favorite head ever! but it much prefers good quality sealed cabs due to its massive low end. Quote
Musicman20 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Great amps! Drop the bass, boost the mids...voila...lovely! Quote
