Woodinblack
I have used silk gloves when we have been practicing in the cold. It works pretty well, and makes slides much easier.

ivoryhowelli
Various reasons are to be considered such as underlying medical conditions, style of music, and some use gloves when learning how to play. I used the finger caps back when I was still learning until my hands could endure the pain from playing. Lots of good products out there in the market, check it here: https://www.songsimian.com/best-guitar-gloves-guitar-playing-gloves-review/
