D'addario chromes - medium or long scale

I've just noticed that I've been buying the long scale version of these strings. Would the medium scale ones fit a P bass? It says "for basses up to 34" scale length" so ought to be ok, right?

Also, have the tensions changed since the new packaging came in? The figures given on my packet don't tally with those listed on the website.

Mediums will not fit. They are for shorter scale basses. The description is confusing (was to me). Get long scale.

Long scale strings are what we recommend for most 34" scale bass guitars. All of our medium scale sets have a usable string length of 34", most instruments require a string slightly longer than this to account for the 1" 1/2 to 2" of string between the bridge tailpiece and saddle.

As for the tensions, we always recommend you go with what's on the packet as this will be the most up to date information.
